The club, based at Bracknell Leisure Centre, played host to 26 of the best gymnastics teams from across the South of England and London last Sunday.

And the junior boys squad, also known as Bracknell Kites, did not disappoint with a stunning routine which impressed the judges.

The young gymnasts, aged between 15 and 17 years, showcased their latest eye-catching routines in what was arguably their strongest performance to date.

They dominated the scoreboard on both pieces of apparatus - the tumble track and trampette - to finish in first place.

They received high praise from the judges who noted the radical improvement the squad had made.

In the last two years, Bracknell Kites have progressed from recreational level gymnastics to become one of the most formidable high performance teams in the country.

Last weekend’s gold medal was also a proud day for the club and their coach Lewis Jones.
