THE parents of a student who hanged himself after failing his degree are lobbying his university in a bid to stop it happening to others.

Richard Walsh-Atkins, 20, hanged himself in the garage of his parents’ home in Merryweather Close, Wokingham, the day he received a letter from the University of Bristol telling him he could not continue his computer science degree after failing his first year resits.
