ELEVEN of Washindi Trampoline Club’s competitors ventured to Denmark for their latest competition at the Hans Christian Anderson City Games in Odense.
The team, of varying age and ability, did the Crowthorne-based club proud by showcasing their best moves and routines against some of their toughest opponents to date.
As well as gaining vital competition experience, the team had the opportunity to attend a residential training camp and perform with athletes from around the world.
In the Under 12A category, Angelica Xanthoulis finished in 10th place with teammate Jessica Daniel closely following in 12th.
Owen Whittall gained 10th place in the Under 12A Male category and Aimee Green made the final of the under 12B category, finishing in an excellent sixth place.
Caitlin Witheridge gained a respectable 10th in the 13-14 years age category.
There were similarly impressive results in the 15-16 age group with both Ellie Stevenson and Rachael Gooding making finals, finishing in fifth and third respectively.
Rachel’s brother, Callum Gooding, won the silver medal in the junior men’s final.
In the Open women’s category, Lydia Osborn, Emily Sherratt and Bethan Gooding all reached the final round .
All three gave impressive performances, with Lydia finishing fifth, Emily fourth and Bethan third.
