SANDHURST Town will play one of their biggest grudge matches of the season tomorrow (Friday) against bitter rivals Cove.

Since Dean Thomas left the Fizzers for Cove two seasons ago, there has been a lot of tension between the clubs with a whole host of Sandhurst players joining Thomas.

As a result, Sandhurst have had to completely rebuild their side with young local talent who are still very much learning the game.

That could be seen during last week's FA Cup tie against Ascot United when they went into the break at 1-1 but were eventually beaten 6-1.

However, manager Salvatore Diprima believes his side have the 'surprise element' going into the Cove clash at Bottom Meadow (7.45pm ko).

He said: "We're very young, we don't know ourselves what we're going to do yet."

Meanwhile Cove have started the season well with two wins and victory in the FA Cup over Hellenic League side Slimbridge.
