East Berkshire League side AFC Ascot romped through to the second round of the Presidents Cup on Saturday with a 5-2 away win at Slough-based Alpha Arms Academicals Reserves.
The newly-formed side, who are plying their trade in Division Three, made up for their league cup exit at the hands of Beaconsfield in their previous outing with a comfortable win.
Skipper Matthew Panton opened the scoring early on, before midfielder Jonathon Manuel marked his full debut with a goal to double the lead.
Aaron Wawman notched his first goal for the club to give AFC a 3-0 lead at the break, before Manuel's second and a Julien Serrano header completed the rout.
AFC return to league action on Saturday with a home game against Braybrooke at Locks Ride.
