LAST season’s runners-up Binfield Club Athletic advanced in the Bracknell Town & District Sunday League Senior Cup with a thrilling 7-3 victory against Winkfield FC.

They will now meet AFC Crowthorne in the quarter-finals following Crows’ narrow 2-1 win at Bracknell Forest. Michael McCombie had given Crowthorne the lead before Sean King equalised for Forest, but a special goal from debutant Nick Walker settled the tie.

Finchampstead edged through with a dramatic 5-4 penalty shoot-out win at FC Fernhill.

Mike Harding headed Finch into an early lead following some good work from Gareth Ainsworth, but Ben Knight got Fernhill equalised.

Finch went 2-1 up thanks to a Jordan Fastnedge header, and Fernhill were then reduced to 10 men as Scott Lawrence saw red.

However, Joshua Lawrence levelled to take the tie into extra time with the score at 2-2.

Fernhill were remarkably reduced to eight men following Joshua Whiting’s off-the-ball lunge and Sam Lawrence being involved in a melee with the Finchampstead bench.

Yet the visitors could not capitalise and Fernhill were then awarded a penalty late on, only for Ben Andrews to deny Elliott Rushforth.

Intercity FC of Division One stunned Bracknell Celtic 6-3 and will now face Finchampstead, and Morale Madrid also won 6-3, beating Whitegrove.

They will now play Crowthorne Inn, who had two-goal hero Liam Forde to thank as they beat Sandhurst FFC 2-1.

Hurricanes beat Ashridge Park 4-3 thanks to goals from Ryan Milward, Francis Cobau and an Ian Davies double.

They will now play Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW who won 8-0 at home to 3M, another Alex O’Brien hat-trick plus goals from Ben Winship, George Wilson, Jonny Clifford and a brace from Sam Randle doing the damage.

In the Junior Cup, holders Finchampstead Reserves reached the last eight with a 1-0 win at Woodley United Reserves.

They will play Binfield Royals – who beat Bearwood Wanderers 7-0 – while WAB won their tie 2-1 at home to Winnersh Rangers and will now face Bracknell Athletic who won 2-1 at Club 8.

FC Harmanswater enjoyed a 3-1 home win against AFC Crowthorne Reserves and they will meet Berkshire All Stars who defeated Bracknell Cavaliers U21s 2-0.

The one game in the Premier Division saw Bracknell Cavaliers go back to the top, beating an injury-hit Raglan 4-2.

Cavs are now level on games played and two points clear of Golden Farmer.

In Division Two, Newbold College beat Bracknell Saint-Germain 5-1 and Berkshire United lost 3-1 at home to Warfield United.

Ashridge Park U21s stay top of Division Three on goal difference as they won 4-1 at Finchampstead Sunday A, while second-placed Bracknell Falcons beat bottom side Bracknell Titans 3-1, Jono Sanby with the Titans consolation goal.
