BERKS County FC dropped to sixth in the Premier Division after they were held to a 0-0 draw by Rotherfield United, writes Richard Ashton.

Wes Sutherland scored four times for league leaders Marlow United as they thumped Highmoor Ibis Reserves 8-3. Gary Homes, Aaron Doyle, Andrew Nichol and James Williams got the other goals for the hosts, while Shane Small-King’s hat-trick of free-kicks proved in vain for Highmoor.

Substitute James Bozarth earned Mortimer a point as they drew 1-1 at second-placed Reading YMCA, Ryan Adams having put the hosts in front.

Woodcote Stoke Row maintained their fine form with a 4-2 home success against Taplow United.

Marvin Hinds put the visitors in front early on, but Jake Dillon, Jonny Summers and Frank Dillon ensured WSR were 3-1 up at the break.

Hinds bagged a second after the interval, but substitute Dave Givens smashed home a sensational 25-yard bullet to settle the home side’s nerves late on.

Replacement Patrick Nelligan hit a brilliant hat-trick to help Newbury win an eight-goal thriller 5-3 at home to Cookham Dean, Gary Dredge and Leroy Clarke getting the other goals. Jean-Claude Etienne, Jamie Handscomb and Paul Sharpe were on target for Dean.

Unity beat Woodley United Reserves 2-0.

Division One table-toppers Eldon Celtic cruised to a 4-0 success against Frilsham & Yattendon, while Hayden Best, Leon Bird and Jordace Holder netted in a 3-0 win for Winnersh Rangers at Cookham Dean Reserves.

Nathan Lishman scored a superb hat-trick and Dean Knight bagged a brace as Maidenhead Magpies hammered AFC Corinthians 6-1, Lawrence Henry netting the other for the visitors.

Westwood United beat Maidenhead Town 2-0, while Mortimer Reserves conceded their game at Reading YMCA Rapids.

Westwood United Reserves made it five Division Two wins from five as they crushed Wargrave 5-1, and Burghfield beat Goring United 4-2.

Substitute Sam Jenkins snatched a 90th-minute equaliser for second-placed Finchampstead Reserves in their 1-1 draw at Barkham Athletic.

Ryan Brown, James Elderton and Adam Wheeler got the goals as Woodcote Stoke Row Reserves won 3-2 at Maidenhead Magpies Reserves, strikes from Luke Clarke and Alan Hasler proving insufficient for the hosts.

In the BTC Intermediate Cup, Highmoor U21 progressed after a 4-2 win against Taplow United Reserves.

Greg Rowley scored a hat-trick for Division Three leaders Berks County Reserves in a 5-1 destruction of Rotherfield United Reserves. George Lloyd and Sam Clark got the other goals for the visitors, with Daniel Priest netting the Rotherfield consolation.

Robson Pereire, Richard Lukacs and Aaron Susans scored for Newbury Reserves in their 3-1 victory at Maidenhead Town Reserves, Mark Lomas scoring for the home side.

Alex Malinov and Adam Shoosmith scored for Ashridge Park in their 3-2 defeat at Harchester Hawks, while Kamil Zbroszczyk, Jacek Bojda and substitute Albert Dziegiel ensured White Eagles Reserves won 3-1 at home to Unity Reserves.

Brimpton won an epic game 7-5 against Woodley United A.

Michael Buckle and Jose Ribeiro netted as Division Four table-toppers Twyford & Ruscombe beat AFC Corinthians A 2-0, and Woodley United B overcame Wargrave Reserves 3-1.

A James Gregory treble and a Christopher Gengasam strike earned Braybrooke a 4-2 success at Taplow United A, while a Daniel Reynolds brace helped Goring United Reserves to a 4-1 victory against Berks County Rovers. Matt Norman and Thomas Heslop got the other goals for the hosts, while Richard Cumner got the consolation for the Swords.

Harchester Hawks Reserves forfeited their game at South Reading.
