THE Bracknell Town & District Sunday Football League cup finalists have now been decided.

Binfield Club Athletic have reached the Senior Cup final where they will play Sunningdale & Wentworth on May 6 at Bracknell Town’s Larges Lane.

It will be their first BTDSFL final, and to get there they had to overcome a dogged Waverley Rangers side in the semis at Finchampstead’s Memorial Ground.

It was fairly comfortable for Bins as a Conor Reeves brace and a Tom Williams strike were enough to secure a 3-0 win.

Whitegrove FC have also reached their first Junior Cup final after beating Golden Farmer Reserves 3-1.

Levi Tippett put Whites in front before Steve Campbell levelled for Farmer. But Whites dominated the second half and a further Tippett strike plus a Jack Gale goal saw them through to face Finchampstead Reserves on May 13 at Bracknell Town.

Whitegrove also have a Berks & Bucks County Cup semi-final coming up on Sunday and are still in title contention in Division Two, so it could be a very rewarding season for the new boys.

In the Premier Division, FC Fernhill retained their title with a game to go thanks to a 4-0 win at struggling Bracknell Manics.

Unfortunately, a broken leg suffered by a Raglan player brought an abandonment to their game with Golden Farmer ,with Farmer leading 2-0 coming up to half time. The BTDSFL would like to wish the injured player a speedy recovery.

FC Meta gained revenge over Sunningdale & Wentworth as they came from behind to win 2-1. Matt Sellens put S&W in front on 30 minutes as he fired home at the far post after Brian Murphy and Dan Walker had worked a short corner, but Meta equalised from a set-piece on the hour.

A perfectly flighted Jake Brooks free kick from 35 yards out beat a static Sunningdale defence and Craig Rees gave keeper Lee Barefoot no chance with a stunning volley to draw his side level.

In a highly energetic contest, Sunningdale wasted some great chances to move in front again, but they lacked a killer touch, while some resolute defending by Meta’s back four and assured handling by keeper Byron Duncan kept them at bay.

But Meta mustered a winner of stunning quality with 10 minutes to go when the ball was cut back across goal from the by-line before left back Lee Alder hit an unstoppable strike on the run from just outside the area.

In Division One, bottom side Newbold College had Teodor Oprea to thank for the goal that sealed only their second win of the season, beating AFC Crowthorne 1-0.

Hurricanes lost 3-2 at home to Braybrooke Athletic despite goals from Ash Carter and Ryan Milward.

Ryan Old, Ryan McManus and Mike Wyatt all netted in their victory that moved Braybrooke back up into second spot.

Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW stay top of Division Two with a 4-1 win at home to Berkshire All Stars, Richard Bland, Alex O’Brien, Paul Deller and Sam Randle grabbed their goal, while James Nwesoh netted All-Stars’ consolation.
Finchampstead Reserves are only two points behind with a game in hand as they beat Bracknell Falcons 3-1.

Liam Hartley and Jason Ellary hit Club 8’s goals in a 2-1 win at FC Harmanswater, Wayne Antoni with HW’s goal.

Warfield United defeated Hope & Anchor 5-1 at home.

Bracknell Saint-Germain we not in action, but they moved closer to the Division Three title as nearest rivals Bracknell Athletic could only manage a 1-1 draw at Bracknell Titans.

The only other game in the division saw Winnersh Rangers beat basement side Crownwood Dukes 3-0.
