GOALS from four different players saw Wokingham & Emmbrook FC Oranges come from behind to win their East Berks Football Alliance U13 Division 6 clash against Elm Grove Colts Flames.

The Wokingham side, sponsored by Wokingham Decorating Services, conceded early to a long-range free kick. However, the introduction of Nathan Mulvaney turned the game back in Wokingham’s favour as he set up captain Ben Alderman for the equaliser, and then found man-of-the-match Kai Evans, who put his team 2-1 up just before half-time with a superb strike.

Oranges dominated the second half and went 3-1 up through James Starkey. Milo van Vliet scored a fourth before Evans got his second and Wokingham’s fifth. Alderman completed the scoring with a powerful header from an Evans corner.

ANOTHER end-to-end game in the Surrey League saw Wokingham & District Representative Under 11s capitalise on a very dominant first half performance to thrash Kingston 5-0.

It all started when Wokingham's front man, Henry Mott, was slipped through down the middle and held his nerve to slot it into the bottom corner calmly under pressure.

Next on the score sheet was Dominic Ballard, who thumped in a rocket of a shot from 25 yards which crashed off the bar and over the line.

Wokingham's front four were in fine form in the closing stages of the first half, as Alfie Edmonds produced a fantastic bit of skill to put the ball through his opponents legs on the half way line, gallop down the touch line and whip in a lovely ball for Mott to volley into the top corner from the edge of the box.

The perfect technique left the supporters silenced - a potential winner for goal of the season so far without doubt.

The second half was a more open affair with both sides looking dangerous on the attack.

Wokingham's Archie Athey was the new attacking weapon from right back and he continued to cause problems for the home side.

The fourth goal started in the middle of the park with Charlie Cooke when the ball eventually made its way across the middle, around the back four, into the path of Henry Mott who once again slotted home for his hatrick.

A fine team goal which saw almost every player touch the ball. The game was wrapped up with a beautiful placed free-kick by Hugo Domingos late on in the game as Wokingham came away 5-0 victors.

Matthew Quainton at the heart of the defence and keeper Ben Lewens were over the moon with a long awaited clean sheet.
