CONNOR Banks scored a brilliant hat-trick and Brandon Blair bagged a brace to fire Berks County Reserves to a 5-2 victory at Division Four title-chasers Hurst Reserves, writes Richard Ashton.

Burghfield FC moved top of the table with an 8-0 demolition of AFC Corinthians Reserves, while FC Reading Dons cruised to a 4-0 victory at struggling Theale.

Marlow United took over at the top of the Premier Division following a 3-2 victory at championship rivals Mortimer.

Joe Da Silva opened the scoring for Marlow with a fine ninth-minute volley, but Kaser Chowdhary levelled shortly after the break.

Two Andrew Nichol goals put United in command, and despite Greg Beckett’s late consolation, Mortimer lost their 11-match unbeaten run.

Woodcote Stoke Row kept their faint title hopes alive with a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Unity – Jonny Summers and the prolific Toby Nowell on target for the victors.

Christian Heyward, Paul Sharpe, Paul Reed and Tom South got the goals as Cookham Dean won 4-0 at Taplow United.

In Division One, Benjamin Dawson, Mark Kilbane and substitute Louie King helped Winnersh Rangers to a 3-2 success at Maidenhead Magpies, while Wargrave won an eight-goal thriller 5-3 against Goring United in Division Two.

Division Three leaders White Eagles won an epic clash 6-3 against AFC Aldermaston Reserves.

Jacek Bojda netted twice for Eagles, with Lukasz Hryniewicz, Mateusz Krochmal, Bartosz Pachulski and Piotr Kulig also on the scoresheet.

Dean Brookfield, Rieo Francis and Carl Allen replied for Aldermaston, who had Matthew Hoyte sent off.

A Nicholas Payne goal gave promotion-chasing Finchampstead Reserves a 1-0 success against Woodley United A, while Lee Mills bagged Twyford & Ruscombe’s consolation in a 4-1 loss at Taplow United Reserves.

Steven Lebrecht struck a superb hat-trick and Liam Hudson scored twice as The Hop Leaf overcame Taplow United A 5-2 in Division Five.

Jake Brown bagged a brace and John Mailer and Goran Olsson also hit the target as Woodley United B eased past Baughurst AFC Reserves 4-0.

Reading YMCA annihilated AFC Corinthians 13-2 as they marched on in the BTC Senior Cup, while Thomas Etheridge netted twice as Baughurst AFC crushed Highmoor U21 5-1 in the Intermediate Cup.

Neil Austin scored twice and Dan Pedley and Jake Kozak were also on target as Marlow United Reserves progressed with a 4-0 cruise at Barkham Athletic, and Usman Tariq’s first-half strike gave FC Imaan Lions a 1-0 win at Unity Reserves.

George Garrity, Stewart Cullen and Rob Teagle were also on target for Baughurst.

In the Junior Cup, Dylan Chaffin scored twice and Shaman Goswell hit the target as Shinfield Rangers beat Goring United Reserves 3-1.

Westwood United needed extra time but eventually accounted for Long Wittenham Athletic 5-2 in the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup.

Woodley United Reserves beat Compton 6-4 in an entertaining Junior Cup clash, while Maidenhead Town thumped Cookham Dean Reserves 5-0.

Reading YMCA Rapids edged past Hungerford Town Swifts 1-0, Westwood United Reserves hammered TDC Knights 10-2 and S.R.C.C. toppled Windsor Great Park 5-2.
