Third-placed Finchampstead put a strong side out but just couldn’t find a way past a spirited Morale Madrid and fell to a 1-0 defeat - their first at home this season.

Jamie Day scored the winning goal, while Lee Simpson and Lee Gay also impressed for Madrid, who are enjoying their first season in the top flight.

Club 8 are still chasing their first points of the season and narrowly lost by the odd goal in five at home to AFC Wokingham, who had Connor Reeve red-carded.

A brace from Luke Angel and a Danny Newman strike were enough to seal the points for AFC.

Sunningdale & Wentworth bounced back from last week’s disappointment with a 5-0 win at home to William Twigg Vets. Brian Murphy converted two penalties while Jack Steadman, Harry Goss and Richard Massingham also found the net.

Elsewhere, 3M and FC Meta met for the second week in a row with a vast improvement for 3M as they conceded five fewer goals to draw 1-1, Jack Francis securing the point for 3M.

Division One BRACKNELL Manics stayed top of the table with a 2-0 win at Bracknell Celtic, while second-placed Cannie Man also returned to winning ways with a 3-1 win at home to Waverley Rangers.

Third-placed Sunningdale & Wentworth Reserves saw their title hopes suffer a set-back as they incurred only their second league defeat of the season.

They conceded a last-minute goal in a 3-2 home defeat to Parks.

Sunningdale had gone 2-0 up thanks to a Davey Blackmore brace, but they took their foot off the pedal in the second half and were made to pay.

Ashridge Park were the division’s highest scorers, beating Hurricanes 7-3.

AFC Crowthorne weren’t far behind after winning 6-1 against Bracknell Falcons. Tom Clarke grabbed a hat-trick, Luke Nash scored twice and Oswald Manwengwa notched Crows’ other goal.

Division Two LEADERS Bracknell Cavaliers fought out a tough 0-0 with Braybrooke Athletic, who remain seven points behind but have five games in hand over their rivals.

Wokingham & Emmbrook TMW won another close game 1-0 at home to Crownwood Dukes and stay second.

Third-placed Finchampstead Reserves have now hit 20 goals in their last three games as they thrashed Hope & Anchor 8-3. Dan Marles scored a superb hat-trick, Kwame Appiah grabbed a brace and Doug Scholes, Anthony Parson and Steve Naylor also found the net for a dominant Finch side.

Sandhurst FFC remain fourth after drawing 1-1 at home to Winnersh Town, but must still fancy their chances of catching the leaders as they also have five games in hand and are seven points behind, but with a better goal difference than Braybrooke. Matthew Watkins scored for Sandhurst.

Berks County beat Woodley Hammers 3-2 to keep in touch with the top teams. Billy Gawen, Nick Gawen and Simon Taylor netted for County.

Division Three GOALS from Ben Poynter and Ed Jackson-Sankey saw Whitegrove FC secure all three points as they beat FC Bracknell 2-1 to stay top of the table.

Berkshire All Stars are second as James Nwoseh, Daniel Ballyntine and Sam Barnor helped them to a 3-1 win at Parks Reserves. Derron Jones hit Parks’ consolation.

Winnersh Rangers scored five times without reply at Winnersh Town Reserves, and Bracknell Manics Reserves enjoyed a 3-1 win at Finchampstead Sunday A, Adam Streeter on target for Finch.

Bracknell Saint-Germain drew 1-1 with Woodley Hammers Reserves.
