EVERSLEY suffered a nightmare day at the office as they were thrashed by 170 runs at home to Kidmore End in Division 2a, writes Richard Ashton.

Jeff Sheldon made a patient 87 for the visitors, but it was Abid Ul-Wahab’s sensational 61 from just 28 deliveries – including six 6s – which helped Kidmore accelerate to 276-7.

No Eversley player could get going in reply, with left-arm spinner Guy Ashby (4-57) doing most of the damage as the hosts were bowled out for 106.

Eversley end their season with a trip to Chesham 2nds on Saturday (12.30pm).

In Division One, Wokingham suffered a disappointing seven-wicket Duckworth/Lewis defeat at home to Boyne Hill.

The Oaks collapsed to 57-6 before Jacob Clark’s unbeaten 53 lifted them to 142 all out, but the visitors chased the target in 22.2 overs.

Wokingham visit Yateley this Saturday (12.30pm).

Royal Ascot dropped to third in Division 2b following a six-wicket defeat at home to Beaconsfield.

Jack Kendall made 45 as the hosts were skittled for 112, and Beaconsfield chased the score down in the 37th over.

Royal Ascot visit Burnham 2nds this coming Saturday (12.30pm).

Fourth-placed Hurst also failed to score enough runs as they lost by three wickets at home to High Wycombe 2nds.

The hosts were knocked over for just 112, and despite the best efforts of Andrew Ruddock (4-48) and Phil Higgs (3-52) Wycombe reached 114-7 in 32.1 overs.

Hurst travel to Chiswick & Whitton on Saturday (12.30pm).

Eversley 2nds (177-8) will finish bottom of the Division 3a table after losing by six wickets to Reading 2nds (179-4).

Division 4b table-toppers Wokingham 2nds (162) suffered a shock 66-run defeat at Thatcham Town 2nds (228-3), while in Division 5b, Bracknell (173) lost by two wickets to Falkland 2nds (174-8).

Bracknell are away at Bagshot 2nds this Saturday (12.30pm).

Andy Murray (5-28) served up a fine bowling display to help second-placed Royal Ascot 2nds (73-2) crush Maidenhead & Bray 2nds (70) by eight wickets.

Ashley Brinsford scored a magical 108 not out to help Wokingham 3rds stay second in Division 6b following a comfortable 89-run victory at Purley-on-Thames 2nds.

Matthew Loxton added 53 as the Oaks declared on 252-6 after 47 overs, and Callum Creighton (3-22), Cameron Gillespie (3-30) and Tom Barker (3-38) then did the damage as Purley were bowled out for 163.

Jack Lunghusen made 57 for Royal Ascot 3rds (141), but they lost by 49 runs to Aldershot 3rds (190-6).

Kelvin Baillie (63), Tim Everitt (59no) and Connor White (57) were all in fine form with the bat for Hurst 2nds (275-5 declared after 49 overs), but Akash Vasa (151no) trumped them all to help Boyne Hill 3rds (277-3) to a superb seven-wicket win. Ian Harvey (3-72) was the stand-out Hurst bowler.

In Division 7a, Eversley 3rds just failed to overhaul Bracknell 2nds in a dramatic draw.

Peter Henly (74) and Akmal Sultan (72) impressed as Bracknell racked up 227, Colin Webb (6-31) and Rob Saunders (3-52) the pick of the hosts’ attack.

Jon Last (52), Seb Powers (45) and Richard Ford (43) led the run chase for the Boars, but they could only close on 224-7 as Sultan (3-47) completed a fine personal performance.

Murray Heslin took 5-38 to help Wokingham 4ths (111-2) to an eight-wicket Division 8a win against Windsor 4ths (107). Mark Evans made 59 not out for the Oaks in the run chase.

Eversley 4ths conceded their game against Royal Ascot 4ths.

In Division 9a, Wokingham 5ths (244-9 after 44 overs) hammered Cove 5ths (120) by 124 runs.
