MANAGER Mark Tallentire believes his Bracknell Town side will produce a performance befitting of Madejski Stadium when they play there on Saturday (7pm ko), writes Dave Wright.

The Robins reached the Reading Senior Cup final by beating Wokingham & Emmbrook 2-0 in their semi-final on Monday.

They will meet either Binfield, who beat Woodcote Stoke Row 3-1 at the Highmoor Ibis ground in Scours Lane, Reading on Wednesday.

“We are really buzzing to be in the final and obviously we are going to give it our best shot,” said Tallentire.

“All the boys are looking forward to playing there (Madejski Stadium) and I think they will do the place proud. We have got some good players and we are used to playing on a nice pitch.”

A bumpy Rivermoor Stadium pitch on Monday was not quite conducive to Bracknell’s passing game and at times the Hellenic League runners-up were not at their best against their Division One East rivals.

But they still always looked the likely winners, especially after the Sumas had Luke Giles sent off after 28 minutes for bringing down TJ Bohane just outside the area.

Five minutes before half-time Elliot Rushforth clipped Kensley Maloney’s heels and Seb Bowerman made no mistake from the spot to put Robins ahead.

Their second goal came in the 76th minute when Carl Withers headed in Jamie McClurg’s free-kick.
