BRACKNELL Town were forced to work hard at 10-man Longlevens before reaching the quarter finals of the Bluefin Sports Hellenic Challenge Cup with a 5-3 win in Gloucestershire.

The hosts’ goalkeeper was sent off after just one minute for a foul on Adam Cornell, but they went into the break 1-0 ahead thanks to an Adam Phillips strike.

A quick-fire Terence Bohane double early in the second half, allied to a Cornell effort on the hour mark and Seb Bowerman’s goal seven minutes from time put Robins 4-1 up.

Yet there was further drama in the last five minutes as Ryan Dunn cut the gap to 4-2, only for a Bowerman (pictured) penalty to restore the three-goal cushion before Brad Martin’s 90th-minute consolation.

Robins will visit Highworth Town in the last eight.
