BRACKNELL Bees head coach Gareth Cox believes his side will 'come back stronger' after a pointless opening weekend of the 2012/13 English Premier Ice Hockey League season.

Bees, who finished second from bottom in the division last year, were beaten 4-1 by Basingstoke Bison on Saturday evening before losing 6-3 to defending champions Guildford Flames.

"I am sure we are going to come back stronger, iron out the mistakes and be a team that's hard to break down," said Cox, pictured right.

"We are not here to make excuses, we are here to win hockey games and we have to make sure this weekend is better than the last one. It's a confidence game, hopefully we can get some from the game on Saturday and take that to Sunday, then anything can happen."
