THE Grade Three Sodexo Gold Cup Chase is the feature contest as the National Hunt season at Ascot Racecourse promises to get off to a memorable start on Saturday.

The £100,000 battle over three miles is the feature race of seven and there is plenty of fun to be had off the track with fairground rides and an epic fireworks display after racing.

Among those set to have a crack at the main event are the Paull Nicholls-trained Adrien du Pont,

and visitors can enjoy one of the region’s largest firework spectaculars. A safe environment for families and there is free entry for under-18s when accompanied by an adult. Between racing and the fireworks display, racegoers of all ages can also enjoy a showing of this year's hit singalong film The Greatest Showman in the Ascot Pavilion.

White-knuckle fairground rides and adrenaline attractions will be on offer throughout the day, with gentler rides such as Mini Jets, Dodgems and clip clip pony rides for the under-10s. Rides are free of charge until 4 pm and cost £1 thereafter - with proceed donated to local charities.

Please note: Last entry for Racing & Fireworks ticket holders is 4pm. Fireworks only ticket holders can enter the racecourse after 4pm.

Fireworks only tickets are available to purchase and allow access to the Queen Anne Enclosure.
