LUTHER CLAY has an opponent for his homecoming fight at the Bracknell Leisure Centre.

Clay will take on seasoned professional Renald Garrido, who has faced former world title challengers Frankie Gavin and Bradley Saunders.

The Bracknell welterweight has been steadily moving up the ranks in the UK, and is pushing towards getting his name in the mix for a British title shot, however his promoter, Al Siesta, hinted he wants more for Clay, a move echoed by this opponent choice.

Garrido, known in the ring as 'The Lion', has already promised he will be the first man to stop Clay by posting a chilling message on Twitter.

The Frenchman posted an image of himself holding up a sign saying: "Luther Clay, on July 8 you will taste the KO"

He also tweeted: "Looking forward to seeing my audience In England I'm at home. Motivate and at the moment in great shape I promise you a beautiful show and a beautiful victory for my childrens."

Garrido has a record of 21-19, however that is a disservice to a man who has shared a ring with Frankie Gavin, Jack Catterall, Bradley Saunders and Cletus Seldin.

The Battle Of Bracknell features a packed undercard, including Naylor Ball, Pink Tyson, George Lamport and other local fighters looking to make a name for themselves.

Tickets are £40 for standard seating and £60 for Ringside, call 07421028927 for information.
