NAYLOR BALL is relishing his opportunity to fight on Luther Clay's undercard at the Bracknell Leisure Centre on July 8.

The 21-year-old heavyweight, currently 4-0, is appearing on 'The Battle Of Bracknell' card, which also features Pink Tyson, George Lamport, and is headlined by Luther Clay.

But Ball, who is the cousin of WBA Inter-Continental light-heavyweight champ Jake Ball, suggested he could steal the show when he appears at the Leisure Centre.

Ball said: “It’s a very good experience to fight on this show. I haven’t boxed for about 6 months now, so I want to keep myself busy. I would like to start working my way up the rankings now, I think I’m ranked in the top 26 at the moment in Britain; I just need to keep climbing the ladder.

"I would like to be in the top 15 or 20 by the end of the year. I’m not here to be a punching bag or be here to just take part, I want to make a bit of noise."

Ball has had some excellent preparation for this upcoming fight, having sparred with the former lineal heavyweight world champion, Tyson Fury, as well as other big names in the UK and global heavyweight scene.

He said: "I’ve done a lot of sparring with Dillian Whyte, his last two fights I’ve been helping him out with sparring, I must have sparred him at least 5 or 6 times.

"I’ve sparred with Tyson Fury, Hughie Fury, Lucas Browne, Derek Chisora, I also did a few rounds with Sam Sexton for Hughie Fury’s fight and I have in-house sparring with Nick Webb."

Promoter of the show, Al Siesta, is expected to announce opponents for Ball and Clay in the coming weeks.
