A CRAIG Haylett double earned Wokingham & Emmbrook their first Hellenic League Division One East points of the season as they triumphed 3-1 at Chinnor, writes Richard Ashton.

Sumas made a good start and within a couple of minutes Haylett broke free, only to scuff his shot wide when one-on-one with the goalkeeper.

Despite the visitors dominating much of the opening 25 minutes it was Chinnor who nearly scored when a couple of good efforts were spurned, but Sumas did go in front on the break when Jake Wheeler set up Haylett who burst through, rounded the keeper and finished well from a tight angle.

Shortly after it was Haylett again who forced a good save from the keeper, but he did double the lead after receiving the ball just outside the box, turning well and drilling a shot home.

The second half was more even with tackles coming thick and fast, but Sumas all but sealed the points when assistant manager Darren Thorne headed home after an in-swinging corner was cleared off the line.

With the game drawing to a close, Chinnor hit the bar and then got a deserved goal thanks to Mark Jones, but Sumas held on.
