BINFIELD CC were left cursing the bad weather as their Chilterns League Division One game against rock bottom Denham was cancelled without a ball being bowled.
They sit sixth in the table ahead of their home game against second-bottom Coleshill this Saturday (1pm).
In Division Two, Binfield 2nds recorded their second win on the bounce with a 96-run win against Hurley.
Batting first, Binfield notched up an impressive 249, largely due to a fantastic century from captain Kamal Gupta (100) and useful contributions from Matt Humphrey (35) and Tim Vines (19, pictured right).
Hurley never looked like making the chase with opening bowlers Tony Broad (2-41) and Jack Collett (5-77) skittling their top order.
Varun Sharma (36) and Ross Brown (41) stemmed the tide but could not prevent Hurley being bowled out for 153.
