CROWTHORNE & Crown Wood climbed to third in the Premier Division with a 48-run win at home to Ruislip Victoria, writes Richard Ashton.

The hosts appeared to be in a spot of bother as Ashwin Rajashekhar (4-29) worked his way through the top order, but Rob Crook’s 42 helped Crows to 144 all out.

Ruislip never got going in reply, and with Muhammed Shakeel Arshad claiming 4-12 from 11 overs, the visitors were eventually dismissed for 96.

West Reading cemented their place at the top of the table with a comfortable eight-wicket success at second-placed Peppard Stoke Row.

Dan Hayden (103no) and Fergus Nutt provided the backbone of a respectable PSR total of 229-6.

However, Hafeez Ul-Wahab (48) gave his side a fast start, and the imperious Adam Davidson (89no) and Zafar Ali (70no) guided their side to victory with five overs to spare.

Steve Audsley top scored with 66 as Mortimer West End eased to a 101-run victory against Emmbrook & Bearwood.

Matt Howarth took 5-36 for the visitors as MWE were dismissed for 208, but captain Nick Kingston (4-23) helped West End skittle their opponents for 107.

Woodcote produced a fabulous run chase to win by five wickets at Woodley.

Faisal Ahmed (55) led the hosts to a score of 240, JP Brouard (4-28) the pick of the Woodcote attack.

The visitors were given a solid platform as Ryan Lennard (87) and Brouard (40) put on 89 for the first wicket, and with Micky Molloy adding 53, they reached their target with just three balls to spare.

Sulhamstead’s game against Welford Park was cancelled due to rain.

Division One leaders Berkshire County Sports earned a five-wicket success at Goring-on-Thames.

Steve Wincott (66) led the way for the hosts, but Babar Butt’s 4-56 helped dismiss Goring for 171 before Kashif Mehmood (47) and Mubashar Aftab (41) fired their side to victory.

Manpreet Singh struck a sensational 157 to help Checkendon thrash Sulhamstead 2nds by 114 runs.

John Acland-Hood (89) was also in fine form as Checks racked up a massive 288-3, and despite Chris Mercer’s 61, Sully were bowled out for 174 with just a single ball remaining when Andy Rosier was run out.

Basement boys Bradfield had the better of their draw at home to Ibis Mapledurham.

Paul Hale (87no), Jonathan Stebbings (86) and Tim Smith (45) took the hosts to 232-2 before they declared after 42 overs, but Dave Drury (76no) and Chad Cudjoe (43no) ensured Ibis secured a draw as they ended on 150-2.

Sandhurst cruised to a five-wicket victory at West Reading 2nds.

Adnan Raja (46) was the only Wests batsman to really get going as they were bowled out for 151, and captain Adam Birch (pictured above) made 72 to help the Camels to a convincing win which solidifies their third-place position.

Number nine Gavin Sinclair smashed 66 as Hawley thumped Stratfield Turgis by 142 runs.

Arthur Richer (50) and Mike Tiley (49) were also among the runs in Hawley’s total of 256-6, and they then dismissed Stratfield for just 114.

Farley Hill maintained their perfect Division Two record with a 131-run demolition of Emmbrook & Bearwood 2nds.

Nick Timms (64no), Ross Ditchburn (48) and Akeesh Khokhar (45) took Farley to 242-5 before they declared after 43 overs, and Michael Sheridan’s 4-8 then torpedoed Emmbrook for 111.

Second-placed Shinfield dominated their draw at Sandhurst 2nds, but were unable to take the final wicket needed for victory.

Prashant Ghandi (100) and Suneet Basra (51) impressed in Shinfield’s huge total of 277-7, but Sandhurst closed their innings on 178-9.

Ian Jackson (5-7) was in sensational form as Peppard Stoke Row 2nds beat hosts Earley by six wickets.

A frugal spell on 1-8 off 12 overs from Sam Fooks was followed by Jackson’s efforts as the home side were shot out for 81.

PSR collapsed to 5-3 and later 28-4, but Simon Gozzard’s unbeaten 50 took them to victory.

Stratfield Turgis 2nds conceded their game at Waltham St Lawrence.

Division Three leaders Twyford & Ruscombe were forced to hang on for a draw in their rain-affected game at home to Warfield.

Ashley Gander’s superb 104 helped the visitors to 185-5 in 32 overs, and Steve Ruddle’s 4-27 meant Twyford had to block out on 143-8 in reply.

Rifas Azeez (67), Tejpal Singh (59) and Fasul Nufail (51) were all in fine form as Purley-on-Thames 3rds destroyed West Reading 3rds by 160 runs.

The Potters racked up 249-5 before Hizam Junees took 5-24 to skittle Wests for just 89.

A brilliant spell from Jordan Duffy (5-24) earned Knowl Hill a 74-run win against Welford Park 2nds.

Knowlies looked in trouble after Ashish Khulbe’s 5-24 reduced them to 139 all out, but Duffy’s efforts shot out Welford for just 65.

Emad Khan (89) and Tajdar Jawaid (64) were in fine form for Woodley 2nds (243), but Shiva Aruna’s sensational unbeaten 139 led Sulhamstead 3rds (249-4) to a six-wicket win.

Mortimer West End 2nds conceded their game at Ruislip Victoria 2nds.

Hassan Safdar (59) top scored for Division Four leaders Shinfield 2nds as they had the better of a draw at home to fellow high-flyers Bradfield 2nds.

Shinfield were bowled out for 181, but Sandeep Bharat took 5-25 to restrict Bradfield to 156-8, Will Nevill making 45.

Stuart Nock (113) and Ziggy Kiani (107no) put on 206 for the opening wicket as Waltham St Lawrence 2nds smashed 265-1 in a 212-run demolition of Hawley 2nds. Haris Khan took 4-17 as the hosts were shot out for just 53.

Falkland Development conceded their game at Peppard Stoke Row 3rds, while the game between Emmbrook & Bearwood 3rds and Crowthorne & Crown Wood 3rds was abandoned without a ball being bowled due to a torrential downpour shortly before the start.
