BINFIELD CC kick-started their Chilterns League Division One campaign with a ruthless 115-run demolition of Littlewick Green, writes Richard Ashton.
Mikey Allan-Canty (93) and Chris Morgan (54) shared a productive opening partnership which was only ended when the latter was bowled.
That merely heralded the arrival of Adam Marshall, however, and he continued his fine early-season form with a superbly constructed 105.
Marshall (pictured) was eventually dismissed by Kirk Graham (3-61), and the Binfield middle order came and went in search of quick runs before captain Sean Ennis declared with his side on an imposing 293-7 in the 46th over.
In reply, Max Marshall (2-43) and Alex Jackson (3-34) made early inroads and despite gutsy knocks from Peter Dries (45) and Oliver Lane (44), Mike Staves (4-55) worked his way through the hosts’ line-up as Littlewick crashed to 178 all out.

Binfield 2nds suffered a 165-run hiding at home to Wraysbury 2nds in Division Two.
Ian Goddard (3-35) and Kamal Gupta (2-56) impressed with the ball, but the visitors racked up a commanding 263-7.
The Binfield reply never got going, with Stephen Andrews top scoring with just 19.
They battled to salvage a draw but were eventually dismissed for just 98 in the 46th over.
