THE weather once again decimated this week’s Bracknell Town & District Sunday Football League programme, writes Nick Carpenter.

Only one game beat the rain in the Premier Division as FC Fernhill trounced Bracknell Manics 6-0 at home to move within a point of Sunningdale & Wentworth.

Both sides are now level on games played, but Fernhill boast a superior goal difference.

Two goals from Ryan Cooper helped Bracknell Celtic stay top of Division One in a 5-0 romp at home to 3M.

Nyasha Chingosho, Sam Potter and Jamie Tucker grabbed their other goals.

Braybrooke Athletic’s narrow 2-1 win against AFC Crowthorne kept them in second place in the table. Andre Jardim scored for Crows.

Bracknell Cavaliers beat basement side Newbold College 4-1 to move up to sixth position. David Mikov grabbed Newbold’s consolation.

There were no games played at all in Division Two, while in Division Three Adam Avis hit two goals as AFC Crowthorne Reserves beat Winnersh Rangers 4-1. Billy Batterbee and Connor Banks grabbed Crows’ other goals. Nick Butcher replied for Winnersh.

Bearwood Wanderers and Woodley United Reserves drew 3-3 and Crownwood Dukes continue to struggle, losing 5-1 at home to Bracknell Royals.

In the Berks & Bucks County Sunday Junior Trophy, Whitegrove FC have booked their place in the semi-finals, beating Southbank 4-1.

Unfortunately, Finchampstead Sunday Reserves found Le Galaxy too strong and lost their B&B Junior Cup quarter-final 4-0.

Meanwhile, Finchampstead Sunday 1sts will aim to reach the Berks & Bucks Intermediate Cup final for a second season in a row as they entertain Kings Head in their semi-final at the Memorial Ground this Sunday (10.30am ko).
