WOKINGHAM suffered a shocking day at the office as they were thrashed 8-1 by Slough in MBBO Regional Two, writes Richard Ashton.

A Raj Singh hat-trick, doubles from Bobby Bansai and Robbie Sandhu and a Phil Rees strike did the damage for the hosts, with Wokingham remaining 11th in the table.

Phoenix & Ranelagh are the visitors to Cantley Park this coming Saturday.

Rock bottom Bracknell were also thumped 6-1 at Sonning.

Daniel Ray’s goal was the only bright spot for the Birch Hill-based side, while a Jon Sharp four-timer and Huw Thomas and James Lockhart strikes helped ease the hosts to victory.

Bracknell host Oxford Hawks 3rds on Saturday.

Wokingham 2nds moved out of the MBBO Division Three drop zone with a comfortable 3-0 win at fellow strugglers Oxford 4ths.

A Duncan Clarke double and a goal from Richard Wallace helped Wokingham leapfrog their opponents and climb to 10th in the table.

In Division Four, deadly duo Tom Pullen and Tom Scott guided Bracknell 2nds to a 3-1 victory at home to Bicester 2nds.

Pullen’s brace took him to 14 goals for the season, while Scott remains the third top goalscorer in the league with 16 following his strike.

Wokingham 3rds picked up an impressive point against Banbury Piranhas, the two sides drawing their Division Seven encounter 2-2.

Bracknell 3rds hammered Leighton Buzzard 5ths 5-0 in Division Eight East, while third-placed Bracknell Terriors edged to a 3-2 success at Reading Rascals in Division Eight West.

Bracknell Ladies were thumped 6-0 by high-flying Amersham & Chalfont in their Trysports Three Counties League Premier One clash.

They will hope to bounce back at home to Oxford 2nds on Saturday.

Basement dwellers Wokingham were beaten 4-0 at home by Sonning.

They visit Oxford University 2nds this coming Saturday.

In Division Two, Wokingham 2nds lost 4-1 to Buckingham 3rds, while Bracknell 2nds lost 3-2 to Phoneix & Ranelagh 2nds in Division Three.
