The delays are expected to last until at least 18.30 after someone trespassed onto the train line.
All lines are blocked and services are having to detour. First great Western passengers may use First Buses. Tickets will be accepted on bus routes 90 and 94 British Transport Police along with other emergency services are in attendance.
A spokeswoman said: "There is an ongoing incident at Wokingham station. That's all we can say at this time."
