The 'holiday courses’ are part of a series of shows produced by the London-based company Perform Drama School, established almost 15 years ago.

Performances are based on fairy stories and classics and the October production is Ice Queen by Hans Christian Andersen.

The three-day workshop aimed at the four-eight age group is from Monday, October 27, to Wednesday, October 29, (10am-noon each day).

The workshop will be held at Wokingham Methodist Church, Rose Street, Wokingham.

Many of the company’s shows are based on Peter Pan, Wizard of Oz, The Secret Garden and The Snow Queen. The Ice Queen is a mixture of Disney and Hans Christian Andersen.

Children and their families will see an Ice Palace, and travel downhill on a reindeer sleigh.

They will have snowball fights with snowmen, and meet an energetic team of actors and dancers.

Perform Drama School principal Lucy Quick said: “They are in for a fun-packed three days, culminating in the show itself on the last day.

“We have entertained thousands of children over the years and perform throughout the south, including Kent, Essex and Berkshire.

She added: “Children enjoy powerful, cleverly told stories, often written hundreds of years ago.

“That’s why we always choose a classic fairytale that brings drama to life.”
