The victim was entering the shop in Peach Street when a man stumbled into him and stole a wallet from a trouser pocket.
The thief is described as white man, aged about 50, scruffy, with grey hair, a slim build and approximately 5ft 9ins. He was wearing a shirt and trousers.
The theft happened on Monday, September 8, at 10.15am but details have only just been released by police.
