MOTORISTS faced delays this morning after three cars collided in the central lane of the M4.

Crews from Maidenhead and Wokingham fire stations were called at 11.15am to the incident, on the M4 westbound between junctions 8/9 and 10.

An ambulance gave first aid on scene but no one was taken to hospital.

Wokingham crews remained on the far side of the carriageway while Maidenhead crews shut off two lanes and directed traffic past the smash in the hard shoulder.
