Major roadworks cause gridlock on A4

MOTORISTS can expect severe delays between Wokingham and Reading today as road works continue on one of the county's busiest traffic routes.
The A4 London Road in Reading is closed between Cemetery Junction and Sutton Seeds roundabout from 8am-8pm until Wednesday after contractors began a five-day resurfacing programme on Saturday.
The work is part of Reading Borough Council's six week £845,000 resurfacing programme, which began last month.
