THE LEXICON redevelopment opened last week and the success has shone a spotlight on neighbouring town centres.
Wokingham town’s own redevelopment is starting to take shape as work on the regeneration looks set to be finished in time for Christmas shopping rush next year.
Scaffolding has now been erected around the Peach Place site in order to minimise disruption to the rest of the town.
Earlier in the year several shops and units were flattened to make way for the new development.
Foundation work will be completed over the coming months, with the rate of construction escalating towards the new year.
The main shell of the new development is now partly in place.
The next stage of development will involve the replacing of the roof of Costa and Superdrug, with improvements being made above the two stores.
