Wokingham performing arts students took to the big stage in London to perform songs from Oscar nominated film 'La La Land'.

Young performers from Stagecoach Performing Arts Wokingham appeared at the famous Her Majesty's Theatre in front of more than 800 people.

The youngsters, ageing from 6 to 18, will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of former Stagecoach students Emma Watson and Tom Fletcher.

Her Majesty's Theatre has a rich history when it comes to theatrical performances, and has played host to West Side Story, Fiddler on the Roof, and the critically acclaimed Phantom of the Opera.

Eighteen students from Wokingham's stagecoach school joined with 252 others from 14 Stagecoach schools to perform a medley of songs from La La Land.

Stagecoach Performing Arts Wokingham Principal, Claire Louise Stainer says: "It was brilliant to see the pupils perform in the West End.

"It’s an iconic theatre and was a fantastic opportunity for the students to show parents, friends and family the performance they had been working so hard on."

Stagecoach teaches over 50,000 students worldwide with 600 schools across the UK, and a further 50 overseas.
