A PRE-ELECTION meeting has been called off due to the horrific Manchester attack.
The Wokingham pre-election hustings meeting was due to take place tonight, Wednesday, May 24, from 7.30pm at the Forest School.
Candidates from four of the main parties were due to attend and field questions: John redwood (Conservatives), Russell Seymour (Green Party), Andy Croy (Labour) and Clive Jones (Liberal Democrats).
A statement from the Forest School read: “Due to the tragic events in Manchester on Monday evening, and the subsequent suspension of campaigning, the hustings meeting due to be held at the Forest School this evening, Wednesday, May 24, has been postponed.
“It is hoped that, in conjunction with Churches Together in Wokingham, the hustings be rearranged for Tuesday, May 30. This date will be confirmed shortly.”
