A CHARITY campaigner who toured the streets of Wokingham dressed as a giant green frog has raised more than £600 - but still needs your help to reach his target.

Bracknell News columnist Colin Antink was virtually unrecognisable as he travelled across Wokingham and surrounding Finchampstead and Wokingham Without on his mobility scooter over the course of last week - decked head to toe as the Crazy Frog.

Colin, 24, of Denton Road, was out and about in the borough to raise much-needed funds for Thames Hospice - and played the notoriously annoying Crazy Frog song the whole time.

He decided to pull off the fundraiser after his initial plan to reach Weymouth on his scooter - a journey of roughly 200 miles - fell through because of the scale of the project.

Speaking to the News after hitting the same mileage goal as his Weymouth trip would have been, Colin said: "I did about 20 miles per day, stopping only for painkillers and battery charges.

"People's reactions were mainly 'Good grief what is that?', laughter, and 'Good on you!' Even had selfies taken! Kids loved it. Adults danced to it. I loved it, especially the double takes!

"I'm tired out, my hands are locked in a claw position, and... I never want to hear the Crazy Frog song again!"

Colin suffers from Stickler Syndrome, a rare hereditary condition impacting eyesight, hearing and joints and is registered blind.

All funds raised will go to the hospice - where Colin used to volunteer - which cares for adults with life-limiting illnesses across East Berkshire and South Buckinghamshire.

Colin was this year honoured with a Wokingham town council civic award for his volunteering efforts.
