THIEVES who broke into Wokingham Train Station over night made off with cash after breaking into the ticket machines.
Commuters found the machines cordoned off by police tape when they arrived at the station on Wednesday, June 22.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said the thieves had smashed into the ticket machines.
"We were called to Wokingham station this morning (Wednesday, 23 June) following reports that ticket machines had been damaged," they said.
"We attended and it appears multiple ticket machines at the station were forcefully broken into.
"It is believed a small quantity of cash was stolen during the break-in.
"Officers are currently in the process of collecting evidence."
