Trucker pulls down Winkfield power line

POLICE closed a road in Winkfield today when a lorry accidentally pulled down some power cables.

Officers blocked the Bracknell-bound side of Bracknell Road, in Maidens Green, for more than an hour waiting for Southern Electric to arrive and fix the issue.

The road re-opened just after 3pm.
