PLANS to change Wokingham borough's controversial recycling system will be decided tonight (Thursday November 29).

Bigger blue bags could get the green light at a borough council executive meeting following the furore the new scheme caused in April.

In its opening months families have complained the bags were too flimsy and not big enough.

Cllr Angus Ross, environment member said: "The new waste collection and recycling scheme which started in April is already reaping environmental and financial benefits for our community, so thanks to you all for your efforts.

"We recognise there were issues with the scheme when it was first introduced, but we have listened to people's concerns and views, and have worked hard to come up with proposals to address these." The meeting takes place at the borough council offices in Shute End, at 7.30pm.

WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS? HAVE YOU HAD GOOD OR BAD EXPERIENCES WITH THE NEW SYSTEM?
