Divecrew, based in Brookers Corner, is holding its 'Night of the Stars’ festive bash at the Coppid Beech Hotel, in John Nike Way, Binfield, next month.
Martin Weddell, staff instructor and disabled diver instructor said: “The RNLI relies on public donations and legacies – 92% of their income – and save many lives each year.
“In 2012 almost 8,000 people were rescued, with volunteer crews putting their own lives on the line to save others.
“It is such a great organisation and has many brave men and women involved’.
Divecrew raises money for a chosen charity every year and hopes to raise a hefty sum of money at the bash.
Awards for outstanding performance among Divecrew staff wll also be presented at Night of the Stars.
Mr Weedell described
the event as “the Oscars” for Divecrew trained divers and professional team members who might not otherwise be recognised for their achievements.
He said: “There is no other bigger accolade than being recognised by your peers.
“The Night of the Stars has been sponsored by our friends and suppliers and we are still seeking raffle and silent auction prizes to raise money for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.”
Terry Sands, chief instructor at the centre, added: “We’ve chosen the RNLI because we’re divers as well and some of our divers are involved with them and it’s a great cause.
“They don’t get a great deal of support and we want to help them.”
The money will be raised through ticket sales and a raffle, and Mr Sands said there were some great prizes available including discounts on
The event takes place on Saturday December 7 and tickets cost £38.
