Five of the thefts, which took place around Sandhurst, Crowthorne and Birch Hill, could be linked, say police.

The second incident, on Sunday, October 5, saw thieves gain access to a parked van in Owlsmoor and steal roof rack clamps between 5pm and 9am the following day.

Another parked van in Evedon, Birch Hill, was also raided on Thursday, October 2, with police believing thieves snatched tools and spectacles after gaining access through an unsecured door.

Between 2-3am on Tuesday, October 7, thieves smashed the window of a vehicle in Honey Hill, Sandhurst, and stole a leaf-blower and a chainsaw.

The final theft in the set of five was on Wednesday, October 8, in Cambridge Road, Sandhurst, at about 12.40am. It is not known how they got in or what was taken.

PC Zoe Stolarski, from Bracknell Local CID, said: “We are keen to hear from anyone that was in the area at the time of these thefts and witnessed anything suspicious, in order to aid the investigation into these offences.

"We believe they may be linked but we are keeping all other lines of enquiry open at this stage.

“I would urge people to follow our crime prevention advice, to help protect you from being a victim of vehicle crime and always remember to lock doors and windows securely.” The other three incidents, which happened in Birch Hill between Wednesday, October 1, and Friday, October 3, could also be linked together.

The first incident took place between 10.15pm on Wednesday, October 1, and 1pm the following day, with thieves accessing a car in Ditchling by forcing the locks open.

Another car parked in Lochinver was targeted between 11pm on Wednesday, October 1, and 7am the following day.

The last raid, between 10pm on Thursday, October 2, and 8.20am the following morning, saw thieves break into a van parked at the Hilton Hotel in Bagshot Road, stealing tools.

PC Stolarski added: “Although these offences have taken place in different places, it is believed that they may be linked.

"We are keen to speak to anyone that may have witnessed any suspicious persons and/or vehicles in the area."
