CAMPAIGNERS fear a "conflict of interest" when plans for 1,000 new homes in Crowthorne are voted on later this year.
An application submitted by Legal & General for the homes - on land formerly owned by TRL - has attracted criticism.
The proposal to re-site the council works depot from Old Bracknell Lane West to the planned new development has been blasted by residents.
Andy Holley, from Crowthorne Village Action Group, said it could allow Bracknell Forest Council to sell the existing site to developers - making a substantial profit.
However Bracknell Forest Council says the planning application will not be influenced.
