Healthcare shake up consultation begins

A CONSULTATION into healthcare changes in Ascot and Bracknell launches tomorrow (Monday).
Shaping The Future Programme - led by NHS Berkshire PCT - will start its three-month consultation which proposes scaling down Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot.
Health bosses suggest moving minor injuries to Bracknell, performing rehabilitation services in the community instead of at Heatherwood and permanently closing the Ascot Birth Centre, which has been shut since September last year due to staff shortages.
