THESE are two women police want to talk to after a pensioner was robbed at the Lexicon.

The 78-year-old OAP was shopping at the Tiger Shop in the middle of the afternoon when two thieves approached.

One of the pair slowed down in front of the elderly lady while the other stole her purse, which contained cash and cards.

Officers believe the women were working as a team and have released CCTV images of two people they believe could hold vital information.

A police spokesman said: "Thames Valley Police is releasing CCTV images of two women who might have vital information in connection with a theft which occurred in Bracknell.

"The incident took place on Tuesday, 18 December at about 2.40pm at the Tiger shop in the Lexicon.

"The victim, a 78-year-old woman, was targeted by two women who were working as a team.

"One of them slowed down in front of the victim and the other then stole a purse from her handbag, which contained cash and cards."

The appeal comes after a resident had her purse stolen from her bag in Princess Square on January 2.

It is not known whether the two incidents are linked.

Investigating officer, police constable Phil Davies, based at Loddon Valley police station, said: "I would like to speak to the women in these pictures, as they could have vital information about this incident.

"If you know these women or have any information as to their whereabouts, please call the Thames Valley Police non-emergency number on 101."
