The contract for the management of three of the town's major leisure services has been decided.
Whilst the identity will remain private until next month, the council decided on the new management at a meeting on Tuesday, November 21.
According to the council, the company has experience in managing similar leisure facilities to the Coral Reef, Bracknell Leisure Centre and Downshire Golf Complex.
Vincent Paliczka, director of environment, culture and communities, said: “At the meeting of the executive on Tuesday, 21 November, members reached a decision on the leisure management company which will take over the day-to-day running of Bracknell Leisure Centre, Coral Reef Waterworld and Downshire Golf Complex.
“The successful provider is a nationally recognised leisure management company which, for legal reasons, the council is unable to name at present.
"The company will take on a ten year contract with the potential for a further five year extension. The contract will generate significant savings for the council on a yearly basis, together with substantial investment into the facilities which will benefit the local community.
“The name of the company will be announced on Tuesday, 12 December and staff at each of the sites will be also be briefed on this day. A public meeting is to take place later that week to introduce the council's new partner to customers.”
