HUNDREDS of runners are expected to take part in the Lexicon Bracknell Half Marathon tomorrow.

Fundraisers and fitness fanatics will make the 13.1 mile journey from South Hill Road, Downshire Way, Harvest Ride, Forest Park and Greenham Wood, before crossing the finish line at South Hill Park Arts Centre.

The race starts at 9am and runners are advised to plan their journey to arrive in good time for registration.

Water stations will be placed at The Brakenhale School (1.5m), Wildridings Shops (2.3m), Meadow Vale Primary School (5m), Shakespeare Way (7.8m), Running Horse roundabout (9.4m), Harmans Water Primary School (10.2m) and Hilton Hotel (11.8m).

Runners who entered the race from Friday, April 28 will need to collect their race packs from the information point in South Hill Park on the morning of the race.

The information desk will open at 7.30am.

Visitors travelling to the half marathon should be aware the M3 will be closed between junctions 2 and 3 in both directions all day.

The M4 will be closed between junctions 12 and 13 in both directions all day. Both of the closures are to allow Highways England to carry out essential works.

Runners are advised to check alternative routes before they travel and to allow more time for their journey.

The organisers will not delay the start of the race.
