LITTER was purged from the streets as residents took to the town last weekend for a spring clean.
The Great British Spring Clean saw dozens of members of the community take to 11 spots across the town to remove rubbish blighting it on Saturday, March 4.
Organised every year by Keeping Britain Tidy, Bracknell Forest Council and Bracknell Town Council partnered up to organise the day and met with the keen volunteers who got stuck in.
“Thank you to everyone that gave up their time to help with Bracknell’s Great British Spring Clean,” said deputy town mayor, Cllr Clive Harrison.
“Their efforts have helped make Bracknell a cleaner place to live.”
At the end of the litter picks, all the rubbish was taken to South Hill Park where it was sorted for recycling.
Bracknell Forest Council’s waste and recycling team and the town council’s environment wardens were on hand to offer advice on the items that could be recycled.
Volunteers of all ages were also able to enjoy a hot drink and biscuits served by the town clerk and deputy town mayor.
There was also a photo call at 12pm where everyone involved posed for a snap after their extraordinary efforts on the day.
