BRACKNELL-based firm Shorts Group 'wasted' no time putting together a big breakfast in aid of a cancer charity this morning.
With 130 employees across their Berkshire and Hampshire sites, the waste management company put on a spread of hundreds of croissants and pastries in aims as part of Cancer Research UK's Biggest Breakfast fundraising event today.
Staff from both depots helped raise more than £300 for the charity by chomping down the breakfast before getting on with the working day.
Jordan Short, project co-ordinator at the company, said: "This is a great opportunity to get all our staff involved in fundraising and raise money for a fantastic cause. Everyone could participate because we all need to eat breakfast and it takes place during work hours.
"Thank you to everyone at Shorts who took part we raised have so far raised over £300 and are still counting."
Shorts Group have been servicing the local community for the past 60 years in recycling, skip and plant hire and demolition.
