PARENTS and children have been warned to be 'extra vigilant' after a man was seen speaking to a child over the fence of a Hanworth primary school.
The child, a little boy, ran to a teacher after the man began speaking to him over the fence of The Pines school earlier today.
Police were called to the school shortly after midday to speak to the pupil and search the area.
They found no one but are continuing to make enquiries.
Headteacher Ms Melero issued a statement to parents and carers of children at the school and said: "We have spoken to the whole school today and have advised them to stay safe. Please be extra vigilant and help us keep your children safe especially if they are walking home on their own or after any after-school clubs."
There is no description of the man available from police.
Anyone with information should contact officers via 101.
