PETTICOATS and hair combs at the ready as a theatre school in Ascot goes back to school for its production of Grease this week.
Following a sell-out performance of Sister Act last year, Ocean Theatre Company returns to the stage next week for its all-singing, all-dancing production of one of the biggest musicals of all time.
Audiences will be transported back to 1959 to mingle with Rydell High School’s senior class as we follow love-struck bad-boy Danny and girl-next-door Sandy as they weave their way through the highs and lows of teenage life.
Featuring a phenomenal score including Summer Nights, Greased Lightnin’, Hopelessly Devoted to You and You’re the One That I Want, celebrating the birth of American cool and the incredible pop explosion of the 1950s.
Director Andrew Miller said: “This all-new production is on stage during the Easter holidays so round-up your T-Birds, pick up your Pink Ladies and get ready to burn up the quarter mile this Easter at the BritVic Theatre at LVS School.
"Our fantastic young cast has worked their bobby-socks off these last few months for your viewing pleasure. Their dedication and commitment to learning from each other as well as their musical coaches, is awesome, and it continues to happen because of our supportive parents and audiences.”
Grease will be performed at the BritVic Theatre, at LVS Ascot from April 6 to 8. Tickets are £17 for adults, £15 for concessions, which includes a programme. For more details visit www.oceantheatre.com or call the Box Office on 0800 046 9692.
