A MOTORCYCLIST was lucky not to be seriously injured after being knocked off his bike in busy rush hour traffic in Ascot high street this morning.
At around 6.50am today (Friday, November 18), a man riding a black motorcycle was knocked to the floor just outside car park three.
South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS), rushed to the scene after getting the call at 6.54am but fortunately nobody was hurt in the road traffic collision.
“We were called to an incident involving one vehicle and a motorcycle,” a spokeswoman for SCAS said. “We had one ambulance crew on the scene, but nobody required hospital treatment.”
Thames Valley Police were on the high street at 7.03am to cordon off the area and direct the flow of traffic away from the incident.
A spokeswoman for Thames Valley Police, said: "The motorcyclist had a non-serious injury and the driver was reported for careless driving."
A witness added: “I was sitting stationery traffic when I heard police sirens, when I got closer I saw a bike strewn across the pavement and a car with a huge dent on the side.”
