A salon in Bracknell has announced its sudden overnight closure after nearly 18 years in the area.

Cutting It Fine has operated from Country Lane in Bracknell since May 2006 and has grown a loyal customer base.

Shortly before 11pm on Wednesday, February 21, the owners announced the closure of the business.

A message posted to the company's website and social media from Emma and the team at Cutting It Fine reads: "With immediate effect, Cutting It Fine is closed."

"Cutting It Fine has been more than a salon and the decision to close was not made lightly.

"The countless memories formed within these walls fills us with gratitude for the wonderful years we've spent together as part of this community."

"The dynamics of doing business, the challenges and all the changes over the past few years have become insurmountable for Cutting it Fine and many other businesses across the country."

Staff past and present were thanked for their "dedication and commitment".

The message concluded: "Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your unwavering support and loyalty."

An outpouring of support and well wishes has flooded the comment section of the announcement, with Libby Cloet saying: "So sad to read this. I have so many memories over the years with you all. All the best for the future to you and all your wonderful staff."
