Scotty, Ascot's beloved mascot, delighted the daughter of the lad who named him nearly two decades ago.
Back in 2004, youngster Ryan won a Colts & Fillies Club competition to christen the raceday character and has enjoyed a special connection since.
His daughter, Carly, enjoyed an exclusive brunch with Scotty and Father Christmas over the Yuletide season.
Reflecting on this unusual family legacy, he marvelled at the connection: "So nearly 20 years on from Ryan naming Scotty, his daughter was able to come and meet Scotty as well."
This heartwarming experience was made possible by the Colts & Fillies Club, established in 2002 to provide under 18s with an immersive equestrian experience.
With a current membership of over 14,000 and a free sign up, the club continues to charm young horse racing enthusiasts.
